A day for dads. I am the beneficiary of some amazing dads. From my dad, to my dad-in-law, to my granddad, and to the dad that is my husband, I don't know of four men that I admire and respect more. There are a several words that all four have in common: Godly, wise, discerning, incredibly hard-working. I have much to learn from them and couldn't feel more gratitude that my children are being raised under their example.
2003
Wow, they both look like babies! :) I worked part time when Allie was a baby, and hubs had very little time off. The days he had off were the days I worked. We saw very little of each other, but he and Allie had a lot of time together, and it was great for both of them. I think he had about 4 days off a month, and he spent a lot of his down time taking care of her, but he never complained.
Father's Day 2006
This picture makes me laugh because he has on the EXACT same shirt on that father's day as he did today, and Mary has on an orange polka dotted dress.

We love you!!
We received an update this week on chubby cheeks. I thought about him quite a bit today because he has an amazing daddy, and he doesn't know it yet! Our email said he is most comfortable with his foster father. I thought a lot about this father too, and how much respect I have for him to give so unselfishly by caring and falling in love with a little boy who he knows he will have to say good bye to one day. That is heart breaking! So on this father's day, I must also include him as well for being an INCREDIBLE part of our little boy's life this past year.
Happy Father's Day!
