On the stage

Allie is so different then me.  I HATE to walk into a room full of people much less be on stage in front of a bunch of people.  Her school has a show every October, and for the fourth year in a row, she "can't wait to sign up!"  I love it!

She and I went on a yogurt date afterward since it's almost November, and we haven't been out yet.  Love that one on one time:)

Here's a blurry clip of her little piano number.

Blast off!

My little rocket saw me at his preschool Halloween parade...

...and he tackled me.  Didn't snap the picture of the tackle, but I'm sure people were laughing.

That's one sweet space ship right there.

Holy Cow

Every now and then I run across a show stopper recipe, and this one got a "holy cow" from my crew...not to mention it's beef:)

The recipe called for french bread, but I just made sandwiches out of the shredded beef, and dipped them in the broth.

Bunny tipped me off to this a long time ago.  It is at SAM's and it is the easiest and best white cheese dip that you can buy outside of a restaurant.  I poured a little bit of this heated cheese heaven over the sandwhiches, so now your thinking "well duh, what's not to love?"  BUT...the flavoring of this meat was DELICIOUS apart from the cheese.

The sandwhiches were gone too fast for me to get a picture.    And well I forgot.
Hope you try it. You are missin' OUT if you don't.  It shreds very easily because it's so tender. Hubs doesn't like it shredded b/c he can't dip as easily, so this was my attempt to keep it in chunks (it's better shredded my friends).

San Fran

Blog?? What blog??  Fall is always busy, and this one has been no different.  Being gone three weekends in a row has kept us on our toes, but we've made some memories:)   Allie voluntarily journaled our trip to San Francisco, and if you can make it through her hand writing, it's a decent blog post:)

I guess using lined paper would have been helpful...

Just a few pics:)

A children's museum opened the day we arrived right across the street from our hotel.  Everything was free, so we rode the carousel...over and over and over and over...and over..

The girls were learning to sculpt...they chose dogs.  They really want another one...but not this year:)

Not BAD Mary!

We educated the girls...'bout Forest forest Gump...

..and how we ate here with Bunny, Pappy, and Mando 9 years ago!

We told the girls they would be sent here (Alcatraz) if they misbehaved at the restaurant, and they did fine.

Can't visit the Wharf without saying hi to the seals.

Another flashback...9 years ago...I was 32 weeks pregnant with Allie.  SO GLAD it's not 9 years ago!

Aquarium on the Bay.  This is a real jelly fish...it looks painted!

Did you know the GGB has a full time paint crew??  By the time they reach the end of the bridge, it's already time to start back at the beginning.

The last day, the girls and I hopped on the subway, and rode out to the zoo.

This pic might need some explanation.  It is the silver circle on the previous picture.  I zoomed in, and you can see the girls, curious george, and me.  We DRAGGED George all over because of a kindergarten project Mary was doing.

OK OK...so I used my mad photoshopping skills to make the project a little more..."convenient."  He didn't actually go to the GGB with us...but I took a pic of the girls with him and photoshopped them in.  Guess what?  They didn't remember him not being there!!! ha ha ha!

What a ridiculously long post!!!  We loved you San Fran!

A perfect weekend!

It WAS a perfect weekend...and that's not HOG wash.  This is the third year we've gotten together for the Aggie/Razorback game, and all three years we  have won have been a total chaotic BLAST!  I've posted more pictures than anyone would ever care to look at, but since Bunny and Pappy missed it, they need to see every last one!

Not bad considering, we just set the timer and hoped for the best!

Mando and Hunter...what a CUTIE!

...make that TWO total cuties:)

LOVE LOVE LOVE these three!

Jason, Katie, Cols and Z

Bo was more into this game than maybe Mandy! It was soooo crazy fun!

Blue-eyed beauty!

I'm running low on Zman pics....he avoided the camera at all costs!

WPS...let's do it again! What a game!
