Road trip!

Nothing like hitting the road on a beautiful fall day....the smell of fall in the air, one or two leaves are starting to turn, "She hit me, my turn to pick the movie, Garrett pooped again!" Ha..it wasn't so bad! This marked a milestone for ole Mer...my first solo road trip with all 3. They really did great and were so excited to go see the grand and great-grandparents, cousins, and friends. A road trip with 3 doesn't hold a candle to flying solo from NY with terror toddler Allie in tow! We went to the football game to see the Eagles play Friday night, spent Saturday am with Memaw and Deda (my sweet grandparents), and spent Saturday afternoon with Beth Ann and her kids at the zoo. Dad cooked a steak dinner for him and me on Sat night and we had a "quiet" dinner with my kids, Anna Kate, Jones, and Laynie! Mom was merely catering a dinner for 120 people, but somehow managed to squeeze everyone in. She was hardly even gone! Anna Kate was able to keep up with us most of Saturday, but we weren't able to see much of Mason and co. due to the heavy involvement of Amber and Emily in their 10 year class reunion.
